          What is remarkable in the repository of our memories of the personal past is that these memories include a variety of visual perspectives; Sometimes one recalls the events of one's past from an original point of view (the so-called field perspective), but sometimes one recalls those memories from an outside point of view (the so-called observational perspective). In philosophy, observational memories are often viewed as not authentic but necessarily false or distorted. The current study examines whether ordinary people share the normative view of philosophy, that is, the application of empirical philosophy methods. The study will report the results of five studies, which propose that while study participants rated their field and observational memories as memories, they tended to judge that observational memories are a few orders of magnitude less accurate than field memories, and the findings suggest that in any normal perception; The difference between field and observational memories is not as categorically clear as philosophers have gone about in their monitoring of memories.
